Today New York Times reported that the troubles in Iraq are adding to terror threats in US. It says that the global spread of terrorism is growing rapidly instead of subsiding.
Well kind of late finding I must say. You go and invade a sovereign country and expect the people to welcome with bouquets. No going to happen. And it did not happen in Iraq. I don't care whether their President was a tyrant or not. You cannot shame the people; you cannot go into a sovereign country to establish your way. You will fail. This is what is happening in Iraq. Sad but true. US mission has failed and failed miserably.
On terror spreading, well that was also bound to happen. The war on terror has been twisted so badly that it seems like a war on Islam, war on Muslims. And no attempt has been made by the US government to say that it is not so. There have been some half hearted comments here and there but nothing serious, nothing concentrated. So the Muslim youth who feel they have been attacked are returning the favor.
Instead of complaining that Iraq fiasco is aiding the spread of terror, who not do something to get situation under control? Something like GETTING OUT OF IRAQ..?
