shameless self promotion...can't help it
March 24th 2007 19:17
so last week i cried and cried about my dismal writing "career"..thanks to all who read my rants and took time to respond.
this time i am little better and trying to promote myself..just a shameless self promotion.
i have started a blog to write all about freelance writing...actually it says so but i use it more to advertise myself as a freelance writer..
so i ask you to visit the blog and leave comments or whatever u feel like doing..u will see that my blog's Page Rank is 0 so it would mean a lot if i got some visitors now and then..i hope to raise the rank to a respectable number..
thanks for listening..i know this blog is about politics but i had to do thing little promo..u know unlike politicians i cannot afford a TV ad or may some crazy ass video on YouTube(don't have that talent)
we will resume bickering tomorrow..

To pick writing as a 'career' is to pick one of the hardest gigs around ... so I wouldn't get too disheartened ...
And there's nothing wrong with writing about more than one subject on a Blog ...
Writing about writing almost guarantees that writers will visit your blog regularly ... (whereas politics? ... I'd rarely visit ...
And I'm sure all of us would like to earn some money freelancing ... (so bring on the links ...

I also have to second everything David said, though. I'd be much more inclined to visit a blog on writing than I would about politics. I'm not politically.... oriented. I should be, but I'm not. I also find I have more time and less chaos by condensing subjects into one blog, and dividing the subjects by category. This way, when one subject does well, the whole blog does well since all the traffic moves through the same main blog. And, again supporting David's comments, writing is one of the most difficult career paths, so thick skin and tenacity are required.
Wishing you luck!
