Palestinian girl is killed by Israeli force..do you care?

January 19th 2007 19:55
this news is in BBC's website..CNN doesn't think it is important..so it has nothing to report about this murder. this Palestinian girl was killed when Israeli force started its "crowd control" measure near the village of Anata, where the Israelis are building a barrier.

i will not into further detail like how she was killed and what killed her, i know i will be wasting my words because this world is now engulfed by clouds of hate and indifference. if an Israeli is killed whole world would mourn but for an innocent Palestinian no tear is shed.

also, keep in mind this data, a grim reminder of suppression by Israelis:

660 Palestinians killed by Israeli security services: 141 were children, and 322 had taken no part in hostile acts
23 Israelis were killed by Palestinians

I think, aside from the Israel-America alliance being so influential, especailly in crap like CNN, alot of people are also afraid of seeming anti-semantic.

Don't kid yourself about the motivation of the BBC talking about the crimes of America and Israel. Not only are they the former colonial power who set up most of the insanity in the Middle East, but in the world of globalization, the British Empire, in another form may rise again.
While the British establishment gets some schaden-freude, joy at the misfortunes of the Americans and their client states, they have done much to propel America on this path. (Remember Tony Blair)?
Meanwhile the City of London, and the Cayman Islands, Bahamas, etc rule much of world finance. The British economic model teaches that the poor should suffer and die, and that the "free market" means the survival of the fittest. This is not the American system, but we were subverted back in the 1960s and 1970s. Maybe the new Democratic Congress will set it right. Otherwise, a world where the sneering, hypocritical British Establishment triumphs, is a world of genocide and hate.

Reading about the Middle East violence always makes me think it's very sad that a person's life is basically valueless in lots of different parts of the world
Personally, I always get my news from BBC even though I live in the USA. I beleive CNN caters to it's audience and does not report news - it has too much analysis and opinion and less fact reporting

Q:Howard?

A:Excuse my rhetoric.

Me, I care for Palestine. Aside from the fact that Aussies tend to go for the underdog, the Isrealis are forever keeping with their reputation in the middle east, which a Mufti recently applied to Judaism in its entirety.

He said they claim to be superior above all other races.

I believe he was referring to the way they have been acting in the middle east.

The Israeli PM really should be thinking a bit more before he acts.

great post. I care for the palistinian girl. I agree that a lot of people don't want to appear anti-semetic, but really it should have nothing to do with that. It should be about people of ll races and religions dying for absolutely no reason.

Is it not just rhetoric. The British financial oligarchy wants to destroy the United States. That is their passion. This is nothing new, even the backing of "underdogs". I would go through examples, but it happens year after year.
We as Americans, Israelis, Arabs, Australians, etc., need peace and development in the Middle East. And yes, all nations need nuclear energy, including Iran. This is why we can't give up for the fight for overall settlement of peace, and not give in to the "passion" of backing one side, despite some real, and horrible atrocities.

Bhumika,

I am truly sadden with this news, but like you said it has become so regular that no one shed a tear on both parties, honestly.

You know, my ex-housemate's mom once told me, because innocent blood was once shed in the lad of Jurusalem, it can never be peace there. When peace in this land truly comes, it is the beginning of the end of this era.

Many people condem war and killings, but I believe neglectence is equally bad, because of neglectence, things like environment, lifestyle and culture are becoming worse.

So all of us should stop neglecting the fact we are walking towards dooms day and start doing something positive about it, and not party like hell until you get drunk and busted.

Have a blessed week ahead

i agree with u brenton. lot of people i have met are saddened by the present situation but when u ask them if they would like to get together and do something about it, they back out fearing the tag of anti-semitism.

it is sad the honest criticism is taken to be a racist sentiment.

Thats terrible.

And I think that what Brenton said has a lot of merit. To criticise Israel (and i have some serious criticism!) is sometimes seen as anti-semitic, which is just dumb!

Bhumika,

I care greatly about this state of affairs and this tragic death, but feel so powerless to stop any of it... who in the west would give up their oppulence and affluent lifestyle to stop this kind of nonsense?

I mean, I live a basic kind of life, but I still like my luxuries...

If only we could do something to stop it...

Lilla ...
