Libby gets convicted..what about Rove and Cheney

March 6th 2007 20:11
scooter libby is found guilty on four counts out of five he was charged for. i guess he will be facing prison time of about 2 years or so. but then i don't believe that this will do any good. here are my reasons:

what about karl rove and dick cheney?? what was there role in outing Plame? why were they not questioned?

is this because they are the "big' guys they some how got away?

was justice done?

even one of the jurors said that they believed that libby was made a scapegoat. he said "what about rove and cheney?" yes what about them

i am sensing that this case is far from over. sparks will fly for sure in days to come..

Libby may have fallen on his sword to save his masters.
Men at the top do not get punished, they get a pension.

Hello Bum. I think I can answer your questions.
1. Carl Rove and Dick Cheney had nothing to do with "outing" Valerie Plame. Neither did Scooter Libby, for that matter. Before any charges were filed, the prosectution knew it was Dick Armitage who made her name public in regards to her husband Joe Wilson. Wilson, himself, had already put her name in the " Who's Who" as his wife and her line of work. The first clear public discussion about Wilson and his phony "mission" to Niger came from Robert Novak.
2. The "big guys" did nothing wrong.
3. There was NO justice done with that verdict. The entire trial was a sick farce to cause trouble for the Bush Admin. The jury felt sorry for Libby, but found him guilty of "lying" because he didn't recall the deatails they wanted. Funny, but when a Dem. says they can't remember something important, nothing happens. For example, when Hillary "couldn't remember" what happened with the Rose Law Firm or Whitewater, the prosecutor dropped it. When Sandy Burger stole documents to destroy or alter them and claimed he didn't remember doing it (when they had him on film!) he got a delicate little spat on the hand. But Scooter Libby couldn't remember the exact details of an inconsequential conversation long after the fact, he's facing a lengthy prison term.
No, Bum. No justice was done by convicting an innocent man of something that didn't happen.
