Dealing with unemployment in Saudi Arabia and Mark Foley
October 5th 2006 03:51
Read in BBc.com that unemployment in Saudi Arabia is rising. Well with all the money they get from oil it shouldn't be a problem. But unfortunately it is. Imagine thousands of Saudi males, educated but unemployed, frustrated, Angry. Bin Laden's recruitment dram come true.
Something has to be done, but sadly situation is not very promising. You see in a country where 80 to 90% of students graduate with a degree in Islamic studies, religious studies and history (or some other Liberal Arts subject) it is almost impossible to start a high tech boom like one happening in India or a self employment boom. It is time Saudi Arabia modernize it education system.
Now let’s come back to Mark Foley. The congressman is safe in a rehab while the house speaker is a fighting for dear life. Today’s developments which suggest that Republicans knew about Foley's conduct three years back, is sure to hit the speaker very hard.
I have an idea, why not bring youth from Saudi Arabia as congressional pages in Washington. This could solve Saudi Arabia's unemployment problem, and help clean the "moral" environment inside the Beltway.
Tell me what u think..
