Breaking the Taboo: Criticising Israel in US without being tagged
January 23rd 2007 19:24
yes folks time does seem to be changing. previously taboo subject of criticizing Israel (even when it made mistakes) is now more common and accepted, at least over the internet.
so when the almighty Alan M. Dershowitz showed up at gather.com with this 3 part series on how Jimmy Carter sold himself to the Arabs to write his recent book " Palestine: Peace Not Apartheid", i was ready to get going.
i wrote exactly what i felt, without holding anything back. i told him that his education is a waste, he has no humanity left and that it is because of hate mongers like him that Middle East peace is no where near being possible. then i waited patiently for the hate mails and attacks to begin. but they never came. i was elated. finally one can criticize Israel and people like Alan without being tagged, at least over the internet. i am not so sure about the regular media though, i haven't tried it yet but the way Amazon.com is treating Carter's book i am skeptical.
anyway, we have started a group at gather to stand up against people like Alan. if you are interested, visit us there.
