Asian in Latinized USA

October 17th 2006 01:31
Yes I am an Asian living in Latinized USA. The country’s largest minority is basking in its glory while other minorities, like Asians, African Americans, Europeans, Middle Easterners are feeling alienated. Let me talk with an Asian standpoint.

Television has programs with Latin/Hispanic characters, there is a boom of Latin music and every one seems to be enjoying a tortilla or nacho and cheese but Asians are no where to be seen. We are stereotyped as the "brains" or the "geeks" and no one cares to understand us.

Asian Americans are the richest, most educated immigrant group in America. But we lack the organized strength of the Latinos, and that they outnumber us.

How about an Asian revival in America?

I am all for the richness and diversity that an Asian revival would generate.

Do it!
