folks just finished read 101 people really screwing up america..its a great read. i ask u all to go and read it and find for urself what happens behind the curtains in the powerful world of politics and money.

most interesting was about the AIPAC and how it got into a spying scandal. its people were found to supplying sensitive, classified documents to Israel. the lobby group which says it is there to ensure Israel's security and well being, well over stepped the boundaries.

anyway..i have always admired AIPAC's ability make its voice heard and its great organization capacity, and yes the HUGE budget..i only wish a group advocating for Palestinian rights had such influence..well dreams dreams..

Could we have a bit more of a clue as to what you are talking about? What is AIPAC? What proof do you have that they " got into a spying scandal. its people were found to supplying sensitive, classified documents to Israel. "? And you've never heard anyone advocating for Palestine? Please spare me. A bit more, provable evidence would go a long way. Just some constructive criticism. Take it for what it's worth.

I'm not really familiar with AIPAC, but I will look into it. As for the Palestinians, they've been getting a lot of press lately, both good and bad. The president of CUPE (our largest public service sector union) has called for a boycott of anything to do with Israel. You can bet this has heightened the debate about the Israel/Palestine issue, at least here in Canada.

yes i have heard about palestinians getting press in canada..but here in US it is a different story.i hope things will change in future, we need more balanced and inclusive approach.

You're right about the balance. Being removed from both sides, how can I form an intelligent opinion if I am not allowed to hear both sides. Canada is pro-Israel, just like the US, but perhaps not as hard-nosed about it. www.nationalpost.com is a paper published in Toronto. They give both sides of the story every once in a while and are pretty fair about their reporting. You might want to check them out now and then.
